Turning Interest Into Action

Probus clubs are organisations for men and women who have retired from their profession or business and who wish to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests. The Men’s Probus Club of Radlett has approximately 60 members. It meets for lunch once a month at various local venues (including Porters Park Golf Club and Aldenham Golf Club). Other activities include an annual dinner with our ladies, monthly walks and pub lunches and outings to places of interest and the theatre.

Recently we have dined at Porters Park Golf Club, Shenley Cricket Club, Radlett Cricket Club and Aldenham Golf Club and have enjoyed listening to after lunch talks from our own members and from eminent external speakers on diverse topics. This years outings, including guests, are to Biggleswade for the Flying Proms and the Barbican Centre for a Christmas Concert. Recent pub lunches have taken place at the Round Bush, the Three Horseshoes and the Cat and Fiddle. Each pub lunch has been preceded by a local walk for the energetic, led by one of our members.
